Drew Fickett vs Ryan Ford

The undefeated Ryan “The Real Deal” Ford, will face UFC veteran Drew “The Master” Fickett for the MFC welterweight championship belt. This will be the first time the belt is up for grabs and the event will be broadcast live on HDNet. “Ryan Ford has reached the point where he can’t be held back any longer. He has to be tested by the very best and he deserves to find out truly how good he is in a championship fight,” said MFC Owner/President Mark Pavelich.

He went on to say, “Drew Fickett is a great fighter who has been in there against some of the best in the world. He too deserves a shot at the title. Whoever wins this fight will be a great champion to represent the MFC.”

Ford (6-0) is coming off two impressive victories against TUF 4 cast member Pete “The Secret Weapon” Spratt and a quick submission over C.J. Fernandes.

Fickett (33-5) will be the best fighter that Ford has ever faced and will be a test for the young up and coming welterweight. Fickett is a UFC and Elite XC veteran, and the Tucson, Arizona native will be looking to add Ford to a list of defeated opponents that include Josh Koscheck and Kurt Pellegrino.
