 UFC 91 “Couture vs. Lesnar” is coming together as the undercard to what
could be one of the biggest events in UFC history is beginning to fill
out. Alvin Robinson will take on Mark Bocek, Dustin Hazelett will face Tamdan McCrory, and as previously reported, Kenny Florian will face Joe Stevenson.
Kenny Florian will take on Joe Stevenson in lightweight action. Both fighters have fought for the lightweight title before and failed, with Florian falling to Sean Sherk at UFC 64 and Stevenson losing to BJ Penn at UFC 80. With Penn rumored to be taking on Georges St. Pierre in the new year for the welterweight title, the lightweight title may be in limbo for several months.
Florian has amassed five-straight victories following his loss to Sean Sherk, with his latest offering an impressive domination over Roger Huerta. Stevenson has had only one fight since his tough loss to BJ Penn, a victory over Gleison Tibau at UFC 86.
The talented Dustin Hazelett will return to the ring following an impressive submission victory over TUF 2 competitor Josh Burkman. He will be facing off against “The Barn Cat” Tamdan McCrory who decisioned TUF 2 competitor Luke Cummo.
Alvin Robinson will also return to the Octagon to face Canadian Mark Bocek. Both fighters share identical 1-2 records in the UFC and are coming off recent losses to Nate Diaz, and Mac Danzig respectively. The loser of this fight could be on the UFC bubble falling to 1-3 in the Octagon.
