The UFC made UFC 90 official today with an announcement that it will be headlined with Anderson Silva defending his 185 lbs. belt against hard-hitting Canadian Patrick Cote. The bout will take place at the All State Arena and will be the first UFC in Chicago. 

Silva is coming off an impressive rise to the 205 lbs. weight class taking out James Irvin early in the first round. Cote is coming off a somewhat plodding victory over Ricardo Almeida which won him the right to face Silva in Chicago. Interestingly Cote began his career in the 205 lbs. weight class and dropped down to 185 lbs. after consecutive losses in the light heavyweight class.
