Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou has signed to fight in the Ultimate Fighting Championships. The man better known just as Sokoudjou will be making his Octagon debut against the undefeated Lyoto Machida. Machida who holds wins over B.J Penn and Rich Franklin will be putting his undefeated 11-0 record on the line against a relatively inexperienced opponent in Sokoudjou. Sokoudjou burst on to the seen entering the Pride Fighting Championships off a loss and shocking the world by quickly knocking out Rogerio Nogueira and Ricardo Arona, both of whom are considered top ten light heavyweights. This will be another big test of Sokoudjou and the winner of this fight should be well on his way to contention in a division that has been turned upside down of late with fairly recent losses by some of the UFC’s biggest stars. The fight will take place at UFC 79 on December 29th which will feature a main event of Chuck Liddell vs. Vanderlei Silva. |
