Ryan Jensen has replaced Jeremy Horn, and Alessio Sakara will face UFC newcomer Joe Vedepo at UFC Fight Night September 17, at the Omaha Civic Auditorium in Nebraska. Following a win over Chael Sonnen at UFC 60 Jeremy Horn, a veteran of over 100 MMA bouts has fallen on hard times going 2-4 in his last 6 bouts including a current two-fight losing streak. He was scheduled to face off against the tough Wilson Gouveia but Ryan Jensen has stepped up to replace the grizzled veteran on short notice.
Jensen is a UFC veteran but lost both his Octagon appearances to Thales Leites and Demian Maia respectively. He also lost to Joey Villasenor following those two losses but is currently riding a two-fight win streak against Mitch WHitesel and Aaron Praschak.
In othe UFC news, Alessio Sakara will return to the UFC following a disappointing Middleweight debut against Chris Leben at UFC 82. 3-4 in the UFC with one no contest, the Italian striker has had an up-and-down career in the Octagon and according to the UFC website will be looking to get back on track against little known Joe Vedepo. The 7-1 Vedepo will be making his Octagon Debut.
