According to the UFC's official website Michael
"The Count" Bisping will be making his first foray into the ranks of
the 185 pound middleweights of the UFC. Pretty much every division you
turn you will find yourself fighting against some of the best fighters
and the MW division is no different boasting the likes of Anderson
SIlva, Dan Henderson, Rich Franklin, and more. Bisping has been rumored
to be moving down to 185 for quite a while and following his fight with
Rashad Evans, it became official. It is unknown at this time who his
first MW opponent will be or when it will be but it looks like another
winner of The Ultimate fighter is moving down a division. Winner of the
Ultimate Fighter 1 at middleweight Diego Sanchez promptly fought at 170
pounds following his185 lbs season on TUF 1. Even the runner up in his
division Kenny Florian moved down two weigh classes once the UFC
brought back the lightweight division. Both winners of TUF 2 Rashad
Evans ( who won at Heavyweight) and Joe Stevenson ( who won at
welterweight) moved down from their T.V. divisions. Ironically it has
even been rumored that Evans has considered making the move to 185 as
well.
