Newly minted father Mac Danzig will return to UFC action on February 7, 2008, according to his Myspace  page www.myspace.com/macdanzig . The winner of the Ultimate Fighter 7 was coming off a gritty loss to Clay Guida at UFC Fight Night 15 in September of 2008, and will take on Josh “The Dentist” Neer. Neer last competed on the same card losing in the main event to Nathan Diaz via split decision.

Both fighters are coming off losses, so another loss could potentially have ramifications on their UFC futures. Danzig is 2-1 in the UFC with wins over Tommy Spear, and Mark Bocek to go along with his  aforementioned loss to Guida.

Neer has had a checkered UFC career and sports a record of 3-4, however he has notable victories over Melvin Guillard, Din Thomas, and TUF 2 winner Joe Stevenson. On an interesting side note, so far all but one of Neer’s UFC bouts has been against veterans of the Ultimate Fighter TV show. Mac Danzig will be his seventh TUF veteran opponent out of eight in the UFC.
