The UFC website announced today that Lorenzo Fertitta, part owner of the UFC, will be making MMA his full time job. “I’ve always been a believer that this was going to be the biggest sport on the planet,” he said. “That’s what our goal is and that’s where we’re taking it.”  He will be leaving his post at the Station Casino’s, to concentrate on the UFC, while the other majority owner, his older brother Frank, will concentrate on the UFC’s full time.

The UFC has grown exponentially since the Fertitta’s purchased the company in 2000, and the hobby that once ate a reported 44 million of the profits from the Station Casino’s, has turned the corner to become one a major sporting success of the world.
