Chuck Liddell is back, and Monday, September 21 will be the date of his return to competition, only this time it won’t in the Octagon - it will be on the dance floor.

The man known to many MMA fans around the world only as the “Iceman” will make his debut on ABC’s Dancing With The Stars along with 15 other celebrities and attempt to take a different type of title on the popular TV show where celebrities are teamed up with a dance partner.

“They asked a couple different times, but it would be too much time to take off from training for fights,” said Liddell in a UFC press release. “Now I don’t have any fights coming up and I’m not training, so it’s something to do.”

Liddell will be the first ever MMA fighter to compete on the show and has been seen on the show before – albeit in a support role for friend Willa Ford who competed on season 3.
