Krzysztof Soszynski has stepped up to the plate and will face Andre Gusmao on short notice, replacing Houston Alexander who was forced out of the bout because of a broken hand.
Soszynski, a veteran of TUF 8, has won two consecutive bouts in the Octagon defeating Shane Primm and Brian Stann, both via Kimura and will be stepping back into the Octagon with about a month in between bouts.
Soszynski has won his last three official bouts via Kimura and will be looking to get his third official UFC victory against the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt Gusmao who is 0-1 in the UFC losing his debut against Jon Jones. The event will take place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada on May 23.
