MMA Ring Report has learned that Jason "The Athlete" MacDonald, who is coming off a big win over Ed Herman in the UFC will be back in action in the UFC again before the year is out. Dec 30th, on the Chuck Liddell vs. Tito Ortiz card, MacDonald is slated to face off against The "Cat Smasher" Chris Leben. Leben is actually a teammate of Ed Herman, and will be looking to avenge the loss of his team. MacDonald will be looking to make his PPV debut on what could be the biggest PPV of the year and will likely be on the main card. Leben both share a common opponent in Joe Doerksen, MacDonald defeated Doerksen at the UCW event in Winnipeg and Leben lost to "El DIrte" in 2005. Leben is 6-1 in the UFC with only one loss to current UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva, and "The Athlete" is 1-0 in the UFC after his win over Herman. This is MacDonald’s second consecutive fight with an "Ultimate Fighter" T.V. show veteran.
