It has been a bad day for the sport as James Irvin has tested positive for Methadone and Oxymorphone. He could face a possible fine and/or a suspension from the Nevada State Athletic Commission. Irvin fought Anderson Silva on July 19 and lost convincingly in the first round.

He joins Justin Levens who was suspended by the California State Athletic Commission for having 10,141 ng/mL of Oxymorphone in his body when the legal limit is120 ng/mL.
