Former UFC welterweight number one contender Frank Trigg has re-signed with the UFC and again finds himself in the middle of a very stacked 170 lbs. division. According to UFC.com, Trigg – over three years removed from his last UFC appearance – finds himself back in the division he found most of his success despite spending much of his time away from the Octagon as a middleweight.


Despite losing both of his title shots to former UFC champion Matt Hughes via rear naked choke, he has had some impressive victories of late taking out Falaniko Vitale, Kazuo Misaki and Jason Miller. Known as much for his mouth as for his fighting skill, Trigg should be an interesting addition to an already deep division.

When and who he will fight next is not known at this time.
