UFC Fight for the troops will be headlined by Josh Koscheck taking on Yoshiyuki Yoshida in Fayettevill, NC, December 10. Following a loss to Georges St. Pierre, Koscheck has been on a roll defeating Dustin Hazelett and Chris Lytle. Yoshida has been less busy of late but not due to any fault of his own, he was set to fight Karo Parisyan back in September but the bout was scratched due to Parisyan suffering a last minute injury.
In other news, Koschecks teammate Mike Swick will return to the welterweight division and take on Jonathan Goulet. Following a loss to Dustin Hazelett, Goulet has rattled off two consecutive UFC victories, one over TUF veteran Paul Georgieff, the other over the game Kuniyoshi Hironaka. Swick also has two recent victories to his name, since dropping to the 170 lbs. division he has felled Josh Burkman and Marcus Davis.
In lightweight action, Matt Wiman will take a four-fight UFC winning streak into a bout against Frankie Edgar. Wiman is a TUF veteran and has consecutive wins over Brian Geraghty, Michihiro Omigawa, Justin Buchholz, and Thiago Tavares. Edgar has a 4-1 UFC record and is coming off a win over Hermes Franca.
