"The Worlds Most Dangerous Man" Ken Shamrock spent some time with "The Sushiboy" Arnold Lim and spoke briefly about the UFC TV reality TV show, potential rematches and of course, "The hungtington beach bad boy" Tito Ortiz. Hear what he had to say. AL : Any chance we will be seeing you as a coach of the next reality T.V show? KS: You know what? There has been mention of it but no one has actually come to me and said anything yet. If it does happen, it is something I would definitely look at, on top of doing mine it would be definitely an interest for me to do something with the UFC. AL : Any Idea in terms of fighting what is next for you or is that still on the back burner right now? KS: I really want to fight, and I will fight, whether it is with the UFC or somebody else I will fight, I just have to wait to see what happens. AL : Tito Ortiz said on an interview quote unquote I am not sure Ken really wants to do it I dont think the guy really wants to fight me. What are your thoughts when you hear something like that? KS: It is the other way around, I think that is what he is saying. If you read between the lines, it is like he doesnt know if he really wants of fight me. He beat me the first time for him to fight me the second time and for him to beat somebody like me twice in a row is quite an accomplishment. AL : So you think it is more like posturing then the actual truth? KS: Yeah I think in his own mind he knows I will fight him no question, but obviously he will not fight me in the UFC because the UFC wont have anything to do with him no so we will have to take it somewhere else. AL : So you would be willing to fight him anywhere else? KS: Absolutely, Tito Ortiz is one of the guys I want. AL : Any other person other then Tito Ortiz that you would like to compete against. KS: There is Don Frye, there is Fujita from Japan , that I would like to get in there and rematch. AL : Against Fujita you were beating him handily before, what happened in that fight? KS: You know I hit a wall, there were some things happening in my life and I wasnt able to train like I wanted to train, I had some medical problems and I got all those fixed and in order so. AL : You were beating him handily up to that point. KS: Yeah, my body just shut down. Some things I needed to take care of and I did, it is one of those things where you want to say whatever we will chalk that one up to experience, and life learned experience. AL : After that you fought Don Frye, many people that at worst it was a draw. How does it feel to be on the opposite side of a decision some people actually thought you won? KS: You know I live by the sword I die by the sword, it is something I have always made mention to, if you leave it up to the judges, then you respect they way they go. There is nothing you can do to change it. They are not out to screw you, at least I dont think they were in this case. I just believe that the punches that landed were more effective then the submission holds that I attempted. Like I said it was one of those fights where, it was one of the best fights in Pride. |
