MMA Ring Report spoke with Jonathan Goulet following his loss to Duane Bang Ludwig at Ultimate Fight night at the Hard Rock in Las Vegas, Nevada. 11 seconds was all it took to get knocked out as a short right hand connected and knocked Goulet to the canvas giving Ludwig his second consecutive UFC victory. Goulet was gracious in defeat however disappointed he was and told us Ludwig deserved his victory and that he was very fast. The Road Warrior was scheduled to be fighting Ultimate Fighter 1 winner Diego Sanchez in the upcoming UFC 58 Canada vs. USA card on March 4th, but the loss puts that fight in jeopardy. Even Goulet does not know the status of the fight and added that he is sad, but I didnt stop my training. In fact the Nevada state athletic commission has him medically suspended past the date of the March 4th event so it seems unlikely the fight will take place. When asked if he was knocked out and if he remembered waking up he was candid and classy saying Yes, I remember I looked in my corner and I knew it was over
.and I was really disappointed. I was in really good shape for this fight, and I didnt have a chance to show how good I was. While he is disappointed in his loss, he had a message for his fans and said in closing, I was supposed to win this fight, I knew he was better than me on his feet but in MMA I know Im better than him. Ill trace my way and I hope Ill meet him [again] soon. MMARR-
