Marqardt will be fighting Ivan Salaverry in the main event of the first full event on free T.V. What are your thoughts on Ivan Salaverry? I think he is a great fighter. He is very technical and strong, a very clever fighter. He has great composure and seems very experienced. What are your thoughts on the UFC Middleweight Division? I believe that UFC currently has the toughest 185lb division in the world. The fights seem to get more and more exciting every single show. How do you feel about fighting on Spike TV as opposed to fighting on a numbered UFC event? I am very honored that UFC is putting me on as the headliner. The fact that it is on Spike TV is just great. I am very excited about it. What are your thoughts on MW champion Rich Franklin? Rich has a great style. His boxing is just great. He has great footwork, great speed and power, good technique and he is a southpaw on top of it all. He is dangerous in the clinch and has a good ground game. I would love to fight him someday soon!!! How difficult was it for you to leave your Pancrase Championships behind you and pursue the UFC? Actually, I love it because I am pursuing my dreams. I have seen myself in the UFC since I was 15 and now, thanks to God, here I am. I love it. Ultimate Fight Night takes place at the Cox Pavillion in Las Vegas Nevada and will be shown on Spike T.V on August 6th. The Full Card is as follows Main Event Nathan Marquardt vs. Ivan Salaverry Nathan Quarry vs Pete Sell Stephan Bonnar vs Sam Hoger Kenny Florian vs Alex Karalexis Josh Koscheck vs Pete Spratt Mike Swick vs Gideon Ray Chris Leben vs Patrick Cote Drew Fickett vs Josh Neer
