Doerksen to Fight on August 29th in Calgary |

UFC and WEC veteran Joe Doerksen will be headlining an upcoming event titled “Venom at the Snake Pit” which is scheduled to take place on August 29th at Foothills Stadium, home of the Golden Baseball League’s Calgary Vipers.
Doerksen will take on Midwestern prospect John Meyer in the show’s main
event. Additional fighters listed as competing on the card include
Hardcore Championship Fighting veteran Todd Gouwenberg, who will face
Jacob MacDonald and Glenn Kulka, a former professional wrestler and CFL
football player who was victorious in his pro MMA debut last month.
Kukla will be taking on Buddy Dixon.
Tickets start at $25 and are available through Ticketmaster for those
interested in attending. The gates will open at 6:00 PM MT and the show
will start promptly one hour later. A total of 11 fights are expected
to take place.

An official announcement concerning the card is expected to be made
tomorrow by the promoters.
