TKO 24 Weigh in Coverage is here
The TKO 24 weigh ins took place on a beautiful Montreal day at the LAuberge Universal one of TKOs best cards to date is set to take place tomorrow on Saturday January 28th. Two fighters missed weight at weigh in time and will forfeit 20 percent of their fight purse to their opponents who both accepted the weight differential. First off Ivan Menjivar missed the 145 lbs cut off by 0.2 lbs despite stripping down to nothing to step on the scale! Unlike the Nevada state athletic commission, which allows a 1 lbs buffer to make weight, the Quebec athletic commission deducts 20 percent of the offending fighters purse and presents it to the opposing fighter provided he makes weight. The second fighter to miss weight was BTT Black belt Fabio Holanda who missed the 155 lbs limit by an astounding 7.6 pounds. He also loses a good chunk of his purse and passes it on to Rich Clementi who made weight initially but upon Holandas inability to make the weight, agreed to allow the bout to take place in the welterweight 170 lbs division. The first annual TKO awards will also take place tonight at 7:30 Eastern Time. MMARR will be there and be bringing you the full coverage of the event that will crown such titles, as "Canadian who best represented Canada on the International Scene." Look for that as well as Video Interviews in the coming hours leading up to the event.
