On top of the weigh ins and the event itself TKO had an awards gala after the weigh ins for the first annual TKO awards. There were a variety of categories ranging from Canadian who best represented Canada on the International Scene to Best KO. The only rule was the fighter/ team had to have competed in TKO a minimum of once that year.

The only rule was the fighter/ team had to have competed in TKO a minimum of once that year. Team Tomkins was the big winner this year and the team took home a combined 7 of the fifteen total awards. The evening was hosted by Stephane Patry who spoke in French and Mark Colangelo who handled the english duties while the two big screen TVs showed the nominees. There was a hiccup up at the beginning with the event starting later then expected, but ran promptly after the initial "Technical Difficulties" were ironed out. There werent to many surprises as UFC fighter Georges St. Pierre took home the hardware for Canadian who best represented Canada on the International scene as well as Fighter of the year, TKO president Stephane Patry took home the Best manager award, Mark Hominick took home best striker and Fabio Holanda took home best grappler.
