It appears that Joe Riggs will be the man to replace Ruthless Robbie Lawler to take on Patrick Cote at TKO 21 in Montreal Quebec on June 11th, 2005. Joe Riggs is a UFC veteran and is coming off a win and is stepping up on short notice to take the fight against another UFC veteran Patrick The Predator Cote. Cote is excited about the opportunity and told MMA Ring Report, He is a ground and pound fighter but if he is really a true warrior, he will stand up with me. If Tito Ortiz can't finish me at the ground and pound game, I don't know how he can hurt me.

His manager and TKO President Stephane Patry is also very excited about the match-up and tell us, I am thrilled, no offence to Robbie Lawler, but our main event just got better. Joe Riggs is the type of fighter that I want in TKO. Joe Riggs signed a two fight deal with TKO and brings a wealth of experience and power. He defeated Joe Doerksen in his UFC debut, the same Joe Doerksen who just defeated Patrick Cote at UFC 52. TKO 21 takes place in Montreal in downtown at the Metropolis on June 11th.
