Xtreme Cage Combat 4 : Held June 2, 2007 at the Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, WA. Five and a half hours and twenty one fights later the XCC 4 was finally in the books, with two titles changing hands, and one remaining with the champion. In the feature bout of the evening Jesse McCarty was unable to retain his 155 pound title against the crafty ground specialist Jeramy Burnett. After an even first two rounds, McCarty opened round three with a solid double leg takedown, but quickly found himself caught in an arm bar and immediately tapped to the submission. The co-feature between Dean Henderson and Lyle Beerbohm turned out to be the fight of the night, as these two undefeated fighters slugged it out for four plus rounds. Although not the most technical of battles these two well conditioned warriors kept the crowd on their feet for the entire fight as they slugged it out with an onslaught of punches, knees, and kicks. As the fifth round commenced both men looked to be exhausted, but neither would give an inch as they trudged forward to once again duke it out for the 170 lb title. It was Beerbohm who would connect on one final punch that opened a substantial gash on the forehead of Henderson, which caused the referee to intervene and call a halt to the bout just over a minute in the fifth and final stanza. Other highlights included yet another dominant victory for sixteen year old Tylar Michaelis as he pounded out Daniel Antip upping his record to an unblemished 5 - 0 in amateur mma. Team Quest product Mike Sixel also had a great showing against Chris Cruz with a devastating third round knockout. Results Jeff Thorpe def.
