It may have taken six fights, and two and a half hours, but eventually the intimate crowd that packed into the Tzeachten Hall, which lies in the heart of Chilliwack, were on their collective feet, and roaring their approval. George Kassimatis and Tim Jenson punched, kicked, and threw a plethora of near submission attempts at one another as the ruckus, and somewhat inebriated crowd cheered excitedly as they endorsed the back and forth action. After a feverish opening round, Kassimatis slowed the pace during the second stanza, which was comprised mainly of the Posener Pankration student working ground and pound with Jenson unable to get off his back. Third round looked to be a carbon copy of the prior, until Jenson tried a text book kimura and used the submission attempt to reverse the position and put Kassimatis on his back. From there Jenson rode out the round in the top position hopeful that the late reversal would be enough to sway the judges decision in his favour. In the end it was Kassimatis earning the slip decision in a bout that could surly warrant a re-match. In the co-feature, the hard hitting Andrew Pederson needed only 22 seconds to dispatch of the over-matched Dean Rawlins via knock out from ground and pound.
Sahbi Fadi up his record to 2 - 0 by stopping Matt Tosoff with punches from the mount mid-way through the first round.
Karl Krolak used a dizzying array of submission attempts before finally finishing off Darcy James with a triangle just over three minutes into round 1.
Stephan Fritsch and Brian Grimshaw each took out their game but out-matched foe in under one minute.
In the only other fight to make its way out of the first round, Nathan Dunn methodically used his 10 plus pound weight advantage to wear down Joel Gunthier and take the win via TKO from punches.
