Sengoku announced today that UFC veteran Kazuhiro Nakamura, who is coming off a loss to Sokoudjou will be competing in Japan at Sengoku 5. In addition, World Victory Road also confirmed that he will be dropping weight to compete in the middleweight Grand Prix. Other participants in the Grand Prix include Evangelista Cyborg, Siyar Bahadurzada, and Jorge Santiago. 

Sengoku 4 also added another bout with Kazuo Takahashi taking on Pride veteran Valentijn Overeem, who is the older brother of Allistair Overeem.
