Wiuff who started the year with a disapointing loss to James Lee in Pride, ended the year on a high note and promised big things going forward. (MMARR conducted a video interview with Wiuff shortly after his bout and that is coming soon)

In the semi-main event of the evening “The Filipino Delight” Del Hawkins stifled multiple submission attempts at the hands of a valient Brandon Foxworth effort to secure the IFO bantamweight title in the third round. Foxworth left everything he had in the ring but Hawkins proved to be too much in a back and forth bout affair where both fighters had their opportunites. Foxworth's submission skills kept him dangerous throughout the contest but his stand up skills proved to be lacking and Hawkins capitalized throughout the bout throwing heavy shots at every opportunity. Foxworth for his part was adept on the ground and appeared to be close on a couple of submissions that forced Hawkins to work hard to escape. A failed guillotine attempt in the first was the closest that Foxworth came to winning and it was downhill from there and the “The Filipino Delight” was eventually able to wear him down and stop him in the third round via tko stoppage from elbows to the face. 

Some of the loudest applause of the evening was reserved for Elena Reid, a local boxer entering her very first MMA contest.

Her opponent Tammie Schneider of an 0-2 MMA record was clearly overwhelmed by Reid who fought off the clinch and takedown attempts to batter her opponent with strikes. Late in the first round Reid fell to mount over Schneider off a scramble and fired off numerous punches to the head but Schneider was able to survive the mount and live on to the second, but it would prove to be the begining of the end. Early in the second it was clear that Schneider didnt have much left and Reid seized the opportunity to back her up agains the fence and use the hands to tee off on her defenseless opponent wtih a volley of punches to force the referee to step in and stop the fight at 2:05 of the second round.

Denis Davis was able to stalk down his opponent Reynaldo Duarte and land enough shots standing to secure the unanimous decision victory over an elusive opponent. Duarte appeared to be the more athletic of the two fighters and tried to use swift in and out, and perpetual motion to dart out of danger but his elusivness came at the cost of effective offense. Davis's experience showed, and he remained paitent throughout the match and never gave up the opportunity that Duarte needed to land the defining blow. Davis appeared to get stronger as the fight went on and Duarte was less and less effective with his offense as time lapsed into the third stanza, and Davis was able to do enough to win a unanimous decision after three rounds.

In earlier action

Jeff Cox took the fight to the ground almost at will and frustrated his blue haired opponent Joe Cronin for two rounds before Cox's right hand careened off of Cronins face and sent him crumbling to the canvas in a surprise ending in the third and final round.

}Ryan Bader who came out to the Star Wars music of Darth Vader, used his superior wrestling to secure an entertaining victory over Brad Peterson who couldnt keep the fight on the feet long enough to land the telling blow in the most lively contest of the evening.

Lion's Den fighter Buddy Roberts was able to secure the rear naked choke at 1:06 of the first round of the evening over Dennis Bacon to kick off the nights action . Waachim Spiritwolf was scheduled to fight on the card but ended up without a fight when his opponent Chris Reedy was unable to fight.
