Sportfight 8 "Justice"

Sportfight fans and Oregon fight fans have been waiting to see the promoter and UFC #1 middleweight Matt Lindland step in the ring and fight in his own promotion here in his hometown. Matt "The Law" Lindland will step into the Sportfight ring Jan. 8, 2005 at MHCC to fight Landon Showalter in the main event of Sportfight "Justice."

Lindland an Oregon native won the silver medal in the 2000 summer Olympics in Greco-Roman wrestling. Matt Competes in many world wide televised events including the UFC.

Also on the card, three-time UFC veteran Jeff "The Snowman" Monson will be squaring off with Brian Stromberg. Both Monson and Stromberg were collegiate wrestling all-Americans- Monson for Oregon State, Stromberg for Pacific University.

Feature bouts will also include up and coming superstar Ryan "The Lion" Shultz taking on Keith Wilson in what promises to be barnburner.

Special guest "Rowdy" Roddy Piper of WWF and Portland wrestling fame will also be on hand as a special guest.

Sportfight is the Ultimate evolution of one-on-one combat. Sportfight is an all age sporting event fun for the whole family. Sportfight is sanctioned and licensed by the Oregon boxing and wrestling commission.
