Tue, 1-feb-05 11:25 RORY SINGER TO FACE DENNIS HALLMAN AT AFC 11 APEX is proud to announce that ’On Demand Fight Team’ member Rory “Version 2.5” Singer will be facing the biggest test of his career on February 12th, when he faces UFC Veteran Dennis “Superman” Hallman for the Absolute Fighting Championships (AFC) Middleweight Title in Florida. Singer, who represents ’The HardCore Gym’ in Athens, Georgia, is a training partner of The Ultimate Fighter contestant Forrest Griffin. He brings into the fight a record of 7-4-0 and is in the middle of a four fight winning streak that included wins over Wilson Goveia and Diego Vitosky. Singer has also fought for the PRIDE organization in Japan against Daijiro Matsui. Hallman is considered one of the premiere submission artists in MMA and has fought all around the world, including the Ultimate Fighting Championships (UFC) on three separate occasions. Hallman comes into the fight with a three fight winning streak and a documented record of 30-9-0. Additionally, Hallman just recently joined the American Top Team in Florida and will be making his debut with his new team. "I have waited a long time to fight a big name like Dennis Hallman,” said Rory Singer. “The road to this fight was a long and rocky one at best. I promise that I will be prepared and I will not disappoint anyone, including myself." This fight is expected to be a hard fought affair where two of the world’s top middleweights face for one of the most prestigious titles at their weight class. This fight will end with Hallman continuing on his journey as a MMA legend or Singer showing the entire world what his fans already know; he is among the top middleweights in the world.
