The Easter weekend played host to an entertaining night of kickboxing as the Victoria Dance Connection played host to the sixth installment of Quest for the Title.

Kieran Mueller over John Panke via Unanimous Decision

Mueller controlled most of the action on the night, using his superior hand speed to keep his game but over matched opponent John Panke on the defensive, and on the wrong side of a unanimous three-round decision.

Scott Judson defeated Nate Gray via Decision

An exciting bout between the biggest competitors on the card saw a back-and-forth bout with Scott Judson working his way to the inside and Nate Gray looking for leg kicks and punches from the outside. In the end the power shots of Judson proved to be the difference as he took the entertaining bout after three rounds of action.

Liz Williams defeated Liz Lampard via Unanimous Decision

Two Liz's went to war as Liz Williams and Liz Lampard both made their kickboxing debuts. Williams was able to stay a little busier keeping her jab in Lampard's face and scoring a left-high kick knockdown in the third stanza to take the decision after three busy rounds.

Leigh Mueller vs. Tom Mattu is a Draw

The action continued as Leigh Mueller took on Tom Mattu in a welterweight bout. From the outset it appeared Mueller was looking to stay busy with his boxing with Mattu more interested in mixing up leg kicks attacks into the equation. Mueller was able to stun Mattu in the second stanza with his combinations and appeared to have the fight in the bag but Mattu was able to survive to garner a draw after three rounds. MMARR scored the bout in favor of Mueller in part due to a larger amount of damage in the second round but in the end it was declared a draw.

Chase Ingalls defeated Bruce Khademi to become the BC Champion

Chase Ingalls returned to action and continued to climb the ladder with a  solid victory over BC champion Bruce Khademi in a BC Title bout. Vancouver's Khademi was solid all around but Ingalls continually beat Khademi to the punch landing solid punches and using his reach throughout four rounds of action to secure the decision. 18-year-old Ingalls takes the BC title from Khademi in his toughest fight to date.

Myles Lohman defeated Brian Chou via Split Decision

Comox's Myles Lohman was able to come from behind to take the four-round decision from Victoria's Brian Chou in the main event. Brian Chou came into the bout as the heavy favorite despite being the challenger and proved his worth in the early goings stunning Lohman with stiff knee's to the body and pin-point low kicks that Loman had trouble defending. Chou drove numerous flying knee's to the sternum and controlled much of the clinch in the early goings, evading the boxing prowess of the Canadian Title holder and appeared to be cruising to a victory as the second round came to a close.

The second half of the fight proved to be a very different affair as Lohman showed his championship mettle, pushing through the body attacks to swarm a fading Chou with flurries of punches that had Chou on the defensive. While Chou's offense faded, Lohman's came on. Lohman was able to control much of the action in the third and fourth rounds, and scored enough points in the process to overcome the early deficit and retain his Canadian Championship in a close bout that could have easily gone either way. In the end it was Lohman who retained the belt in an entertaining showing by both competitors.
