Testing positive for illegal drugs has becoming all too common in sports, and MMA has had it’s fair share of athletes getting busted. Today Kirill Sidelnikov, and Wesley Correira joined the dubious list of players that will have their careers stained by positive drug tests. One of Fedor Emelianenko’s main training partners, Sidelnikov will be suspended from fighting through January 18, 2010 - and has been fined $2,500.00. In other suspension news, Wesley Correira tested positive for Marijuana with a nanogram count of 700 ng/ml and has been suspended through August 12, 2009 and fined $1,000.00. The legal limit allowed by the California Athletic commission is 15ng/ml. Correira was scheduled to compete at the Ken Shamrock Productions Wargods event but never competed. |
