A jubilant, and somewhat arrogant Hicks said post fight, "I told my guys I would finish him in a minute, or a minute in a half because Dominic is a complete stand up fighter and has no ground defence."   When asked about his future plans - "the plan is to go back down to 185 where I'm 3 - 0 and avenge my loss to Asia Balliet for the AMA 185 pound title."  

The semi-main event may have been the most competitive fight on the twelve bout card. With the support of trainer and corner man Roy "Big Country" Nelson, Adam Liston weathered a first round storm by Cesar Narita, and dominated the second of their two round affair. Liston was able to shoot a text book double leg takedown and maneuver his way into rear mount early in the second stanza. Liston then used a body triangle to dominate back control for the remainder of the round. Although Liston was unable to finish from the superior position, he earned enough points to win a unanimous decision.
 
After facing the likes of TUF alumnist, Gabe Rudinger, and the always tenacious Blake Fredrickson, the battle tested George Kassimatis barely broke a sweat against an over-matched Jeremy Ekkert. Kassimatis toyed with Ekkert with his superior stand up skills and eventually took Ekkert's back in the standing position. Kassimatis then flung Ekkert down ending up in the side mount. Kassimatis went from knee on belly into full mount, and in a matter of seconds into rear mount. The tap out via punches was swift and one had to question why Ekkert was even in the ring against such an elite competitor.

Everett native Sally Crumdiak was visibly excited about the prospect of her first mma fight that allowed elbow strikes to the head, both standing and on the ground. In speaking with her trainer, Charles Pearson, they had been seeking out a fight with that particular rule for some time, and had been training hard for the impending competition. And indeed, it was elbow strikes that Crumdiak employed to perfection while in the clinch against her much taller opponent, Wendy Roy. Crumdiak then took Roy to the ground and garnered the side mount. From there she began to work the elbow game once again, as she busted Roy open above the right eye with a short left elbow. The second round saw much of the same as Crumdiak again took Roy down and punished Roy with punches and elbows eventually finishing the fight with a key lock midway through round two.

Other highlights included an exciting back and forth battle between Hardeep Singh and Curtis Demarce. Singh dropped Demarce early in round two and capitalized by finishing the fight with a rear-naked choke just over one minute into the second period. Kyle Holt also impressed in taking out Mike Grant in a mere twenty five seconds into their bout.
