Aaron Varga appeared to be a little tentative in the first round but found his mark in the second using his superior speed and marksmentship to pick his opponent Chris Worrall apart. First-time promoter Keith Varga put on an excellent event, selling out the Victoria Dance Connection in the process and amassing a talented group of fighters for his card. In addition, he brought in ISKA president Cory Schafer - despite the extra expense - to run judging and reffing clinics, and judge one of the title bouts. MMARR attended the clinics and we were impressed with the quality of instruction and believe the unification of judging and refereeing manuals will help bring legitimacy to the sport of MMA. As of now there are no firm dates, but future events by Keith Varga, would be a welcome addition to Vancouver Island.
