Elite Fighting Championship* Brings Mixed Martial Arts to the Centre in Vancouver for the Performing Arts On March 18th, 2006, the fast growing, most dynamic and explosive sport on the planet is coming to Vancouver, BC Vancouver, BC: February 19, 2006: Elite Fighting Championship* (* a division of 0735957 B.C. Ltd.) formally announced today that it will hold its first-ever Elite Fighting Mixed Martial Arts event in Vancouver, BC, when it presents its Elite Fighting Experience, live from the Center in Vancouver for the Performing Arts on March 18th, 2006. After years of waiting, the Elite Fighting Championship is finally offering an opportunity for athletes, audiences, networks, and sponsors to experience an authentic and entertaining mixed martial arts event, said Rob Harris, President of the Elite Fighting. Long in the planning, we are pleased to be able to play host to the highest form of evolution in MMA competition. The Elite Fighting Championship is devoted to the promotion and marketing of the MMA sport, the events which showcase them, and the sponsors who make it possible. To match the high caliber nature of this event, they have selected the Centre in Vancouver for Performing Arts to host the Elite Fighting Experience. Designed by acclaimed Canadian architect Moshe Safdie, The Centre in Vancouver for Performing Arts is the premiere performing arts facility in Western Canada. Martial arts as a form of self-defense and personal fitness has been appreciated and accepted around the world for centuries. True fighters have adopted and perfected this art in the form of many disciplines, Now, the next evolution in sports entertainment has gone mainstream with Mixed Martial Arts.
