Lightweights and Ladies Lead Attack at March 4th’s MFC 6 “Boardwalk Blitz”
Thomas Takes on Healy, Modafferi and Larosa Meet. Bombarding the East Coast with a night of frenzied fighting action, the Mixed Fighting Championship kicks off its 2006 season Saturday, March 4th with MFC 6: “Boardwalk Blitz,” live from the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

Among the featured bouts, American Top Team’s Din Thomas is back in the hunt for his slot among the world’s lightweight top-five after a successful stint
in pro boxing. Making his MFC debut, Thomas will go toe-to-toe with
NorthWest Elite’s Ryan Healy, a Golden Gloves veteran himself.  Will the
leather fly in this lightweight confrontation?

The ladies of MFC will be well represented in another highlighted bout
between the 135-pound division’s Tara Larosa and Roxanne Modafferi, two of
the country’s most recognized female fighters. 7-1 Larosa was a winner for
Japanese audiences at Smack Girl last November; while the 6-2 Modafferi,
also a Smack Girl Veteran, caught America’s eye with her two victories over
top-ranked Jennifer Howe. Making history for the promotion, this will be the
first pair of femme fatales to ever cross paths in the famed MFC ring.

Also on the card, undefeated Duneland Vale Tudo heavyweight Mark Burch
returns to the MFC with Englishman Alex Roberts in his sights. Now calling
Japan his home, 29-year-old Kujuken Kaikan kickboxer Roberts is ranked #4 in
Pancrase and eager to show American audiences what he’s got.
