MMA Ring Report has learned that there are strong rumors that Carlos Newton will be the newest IFL coach and will helm Team Canada. There were rumors circulating that Carlos Newton would be fighting in the UFC or even possibly even involved in the newest version of the Ultimate Fighter, TUF 4 which involves former UFC fighters looking to get back into the big show, but it looks like that is not the case. Newton is a former UFC champion and would be a big boost for the IFL north of the border. He is also rumored to be fighting in the K1/Heroes tournament in Japan. Other rumored names involved in that tournament include BJ Penn, Rodrigo Gracie, and of course Carlos Newton but it is still up in the air at this point.
