The California State Athletic Commission released the payouts for the fighters that competed in Affliction Banned which took place on July 19, 2008 at the Honda Center in California. As expected the payouts are quite large in comparison to fighters in most other organizations and does not include any potential Special Bonus that a fighter may receive from the promoter.
One surprise is Fedor Emelianenkos purse of $300,000 dollars which is less that the $800,000 that Sylvia is received for the championship fight. It seems unlikely that he received less than Sylvia but that is the amount that is listed in the official payouts.
Fighters may have also paid for fines, or licensing, or other fee that would have been deducted from their purses. Terry Martin, Rogerio Nogueira, and Mike Whitehead paid fines of $500.00 each. It is unknown at time of writing what the fines were for.
Fighters may or may not have received special bonuses that would not appear here. It is unknown at this time if there were any such payouts.
