Today KNK Promotions has announced the addition of Bas “El Guapo” Rutten to the TSN announcing team. This deal is exclusive to King of the Cage in Canada but will also allow Bas to pursue his career outside KOTC.

“Mauro Ranallo and Bas Rutten are the dream team in our industry and we have added them to our TSN broadcast” said KOTC Canada President Ken Kupsch. “You take Mauro Ranallo, Bas Rutten, Duke Roufus and put them on one broadcast team and you have just won the lottery”

King of the Cage Canada has been driven by TSN and the popularity of mixed martial arts. This is a huge day for KOTC, TSN and fight fans across Canada!!

We would like to welcome Bas to the team and also welcome him to Canada on a permanent basis. We know with his accelerating movie career, it may keep him from some of our broadcasts but we will try to unsure his presence as much as possible. His first broadcast will be the Prince George Anarchy show on February 11, 2006. It will be an honor to have Bas call the 2 World Title fights as well as Bill Mahood’s Canadian Championship bout. We are very proud to have Bas as part of the team.
