I have been traveling to Thailand to train in Muay Thai since 1990. In 1998 at the Fairtex Muay Thai Camp just outside Bangkok I had the honor and the privilege to train with the legendary Arjarn Apidej in Muay Thai. I have been going back ever since. For a man with such vast experience and legendary status in Muay Thai what amazes me every time I go and train with him is how humble and down to earth he is. He is always smiling and gives you encouraging words whenever possible.

On a cold Fall night, things quickly heated up as a sold-out crowd waited anxiously to watch a line-up filled with veteran competitors as well as, up and comers. With only a few short days left before the biggest event in UCC History was to take place, The UCC suffered a crippling string of injuries that robbed it of some of the biggest names on the card and left it without three of it's main events. John Alessio injured his hand and would be unable to compete in an anticipated match between another up and coming future star in the sport, Jason Black. Steve Vigneault then injured one of his fingers and would be unable to lace them up against two time UFC veteran Anthony "The Freak" Fryklund.
