Saturday night in Shooto Holland: "Holland vs the World," fighters from various nations battled hard for a possible spot in Shooto Japan. Also billed as "The Road to Tokyo", the event provided the audience with displays of some stunning groundwork, heavy knockouts and some ruthless ground and pound. The pre-show consisted of some amateur Shooto bouts that gave the upcoming fighters from local Dutch gyms as well as foreign gyms to get some ring experience.

Being a good fighter and being a good teacher are two separate and completely different animals. Having met Carlos Newton several times before, I knew that he was intelligent and well spoken, but never having trained with him, I didn't know what to expect from the Seminar.

March 13th 2004, The Xtreme Fighting Organization, which was originally scheduled to take place in Illinois, held its inaugural event in Fontana due to recent legal woes which forced the migration north of the border. No matter, migration or no migration, solid co-main events and an evenly matched undercard set the stage for a night of fights that kept a capacity crowd on their feet.
