Dream has finalized
their upcoming Dream.6 card and it is looking strong with Hayato
Sakura, Mirko Filipovic, and Sergei Kharitonov stepping into the ring and the semifinals and finals of the Middleweight tournament coming to a close.
It appears that Roger Gracie will be facing off against seasoned MMA
veteran Travis Wiuff in his return to MMA action. Sengoku announced
that bout as well as the Kiuma Kunioku vs. A Sol Kwon to round out the
remainder of the Sengoku 5 card. The event will take place on September
28, 2008 at the Yoyogi National Gymnasium in Tokyo, Japan.
There are some interesting video interviews of deceased former UFC middleweight champion Evan Tanner that are worth checking out. Tanner passed away of apparent heat exhaustion last week.
According to Sherdog.com Affliction has
rescheduled their Oct 11 event for January at the Honda Center in
Anaheim, California. The shuffle fuels speculation that the promotion
lost millions of dollars on their first event and unwilling to lose so
much
again.
Lyoto Machida dropped from UFC 89 which will take place on October without their top light heavyweight contendership bout. First Thiago Silvas injury forced him off the card, and it appears that the bout has been scrapped altogether.
Dana White and Joe Rogan sat down with some of the Marquee

Mountain area today. According to a report on the Imperial Valley Press by Brooke Ruth,
the body of former UFC middleweight champion Evan Tanner was found in
the Palo Verde Mountain area today. Tanner, 37, has been missing since
last weekend.
