With all of the negative talk surrounding the MMA community over media bans, etc. it was nice to watch a show where money, fame, and fortune were not the main reasons the fighters competed. Instead, at the ICE show which is an amateur event, fighters fought for pride and for the chance to step inside the cage in front of family and friends and compete in the sport they love. Promoters Kerry Schall and Monte Cox brought the ICE show back to the Metropolis nightclub, offering local and regional amateur fighters this opportunity to compete. Here was the quick rundown of the fights that took place. |

Fertitta III, has denied media credentials to several MMA-exclusive Web sites and publications for UFC 55 on Oct. 7, impeding these media entities from performing their full responsibilities to report the event to the public. |

The TKO 22 "Lionheart" Weigh ins have come and gone and there are some interesting story lines with Steve Vigneault making his first foray into the welterweight division after spending his whole MMA career at Middleweight and Lightheavyweight. He is coming off two losses as well as some boxing losses so his mental state may be a big factor in the outcome of this fight. His first bout with Jason St. Louis was one of the best fights in TKO/UCC history and if the second bout is anything like the first the fans will be in for a treat. |
