The division which recently saw Travis Lutter claim the top
spot in a hard-fought battle with Jason MacDonald - will now see another former
UFC fighter Thales Leites join the ranks of what could be the MFC's deepest division.
Leites will likely face the gritty WEC veteran Bryan Baker
who has only one loss to his resume, a decision to current UFC middleweight
Chael Sonnen. Baker is relatively unknown but is talented and could pose a
challenge for Leites whose performances have been inconsistent of late.
In addition to Leites, the MFC also inked Canadian
lightweight Ragin Kajan Johnson to a four-fight deal locking in the young
talent to their burgeoning lightweight ranks.
Johnson, who started out his career facing stiff competition
such as current Strikeforce champion Josh Thomson, is currently on a 10-1
streak losing only to the newest Canadian UFC welterweight Rory MacDonald. |
