The Unplugged Series has become a favourite of MFC fans as a card that showcases young talent topped off by a first-class main event. Unplugged 3 Hits Back also sets the stage for the next major show from the Maximum Fighting Championship, MFC 12 High Stakes set for Friday, June 22 at the Shaw Conference Centre in Edmonton. Hawaiis Scott Junk, who is represented by MFC and Pro Camp Sports Management owner Mark Pavelich, is in the main event of Unplugged 3 as he looks to continue his torrid ascent in the heavyweight ranks. Junk will square off against Vancouvers Dominic Richard. There arent many heavyweights any in the world with the skills that Scott Junk has and he is definitely is a future champion, said Pavelich. But Scott will need to be on top his game because Dominic is a bad man himself and hes coming to win. Another heavyweight clash on tap for Unplugged 3 marks the return of Pan Am Games silver medalist Ryan Jimmo as he will look to bounce back from his knockout loss to Adam Braidwood in a battle with Dwayne Lewis. Unplugged 3 also features two exciting welterweight matchups. In a battle of undefeated young stars, Pro Camps Ryan The Kid McGillivray will go after his fourth straight victory when he tangles with Kyle Ayotte. And in a second featured welterweight contest, Edmonton Police Service officer Ryan Lawley makes his mixed martial arts debut against Tim Blanchard. The two Ryans McGillivray and Lawley are both very popular guys who are going to have a lot of fans cheering them on at Unplugged 3, noted Pavelich. McGillivray wants to take more steps towards a title shot and Lawley is not going to back down one little bit. Valimakis confidence sky high MFC champion ready for Sakara at UFC 70
Victor The Matrix Valimaki has promised his second stint in the UFC will be better than his first. And if his physical training and mental preparation show anything, its that Valimaki intends on holding true to his word. The MFCs light heavyweight champion looks strong and more than ready for his battle with Italys Alessio Sakara at UFC 70: Nations Collide on Saturday, April 21 in Manchester, England. Im not usually one to say whole lot before a fight, but I know in my heart that Sakara is in deep trouble the moment he steps into the Octagon, said Valimaki. I wont hesitate. I wont hold back. I wont save anything. There will be no mercy. Valimaki is coming off a knockout win over Jarred Kilkenny in his first defence of the title at MFC 11 Gridiron. After that win he promised to make a triumphant return to the UFC. To make that happen, hell have to overcome the striking ability of Sakara and utilize his own impressive skills. Victor has got everything he needs to beat Sakara, said Pro Camp Sports Management Owner/President Mark Pavelich. And from what Ive seen from Victor in his training, I wouldnt want to be the one going up against him. Victor is going to bring the pain and Sakara is going to feel it. Valimaki will have his Pro Camp teammate and UFC star Jason The Athlete MacDonald in his corner for the bout. UFC 70: Nations Collide will be shown live on Spike TV in Canada on April 21.
