ImagePress Conference for MFC 16: Anger Management will take place on Wednesday, May 7 at 3 p.m. at Centre Bar in the River Cree Resort and Casino. MFC 16: Anger Management is set for Friday, May 9 inside The Venue at River Cree. And for the ninth straight fight card, the show is officially sold out – another example of the fans’ demand to see the best mixed martial arts action which they have come to expect from the MFC.

This will be the second fight card televised in the agreement between the MFC and Mark Cuban’s HDNet. Anger Management’s electric atmosphere inside The Venue will be shown to fight fans across Canada, the United States and Mexico. MFC 15 drew an estimated audience of 2.1 million viewers.

MFC 16: Anger Management will be headlined by co-main events. The finale is a clash between rival welterweights featuring the return of undefeated rising star Ryan “The Real Deal” as he takes on American C.J. Fernandes.

Ford will be looking to cement himself as the top contender for the MFC’s 170-pound title while going for his sixth consecutive victory. A colossal fan favourite, Ford has become a major sensation with his blend of explosive speed, raw power, and unbridled aggression.

Fernandes brings a veteran presence to this fight and a solid training background. He represents the H.I.T. Squad – the team coached and led by former UFC welterweight champion Matt Hughes.

The other main event is a battle of heavyweights as Eric “Big E” Pele, the former star of the A&E reality show Inked, makes his MFC debut in a showdown against unbeaten Chase Gormley. Both fighters have a knack for finishing off their opponents in style as they each have knockout power and solid submission skills.

Other highlights of MFC 16: Anger Management include a lightweight battle MFC top-ranked contender Mike Maestas and newcomer Ben Henderson plus a welterweight collision between two unbeaten foes as Halifax’s Matt Macgrath takes on American Matt Veach.

A total of 11 fights are scheduled for MFC 16: Anger Management – the second of five fight cards in 2008 scheduled for the River Cree Resort and Casino.
