Maximum Fighting Championship presents special year-end showcase Friday night The Maximum Fighting Championship, Canadas leading mixed martial arts promotion, will host Unplugged 2 On Demand for the Fans on Friday, Nov. 10 at the soldout Crowne Plaza Chateau Lacombe ballroom beginning at 8 p.m. Unplugged 2 will be a feature showcase for many up-and-coming young talents in ultimate fighting including Edmontons own Ryan The Kid McGillivray. As a special attraction, Albertas own UFC stars Jason The Athlete MacDonald and Victor The Matrix Valimaki will be on hand to meet and greet their fans. This will be the MFCs topper to an incredibly successful 2006 schedule which saw sellout crowds for MFC 9 No Excuses and MFC 10 Unfinished Business both at the Shaw Conference Centre. Both fight cards drew unprecedented mainstream media coverage for mixed martial arts in Canada. The year was also highlighted by MFC/Pro Camp Sports Management star Jason The Athlete MacDonald earning a resounding victory in his UFC debut. MacDonald will make his return to the UFCs Octagon Dec. 30 in Las Vegas and his Pro Camp teammate Victor The Matrix Valimaki will get his shot in the UFC on Dec. 13 in San Diego. As well in 2006, Valimaki was crowned the MFC Light Heavyweight champion, Patrick The Predator Cote won the MFC Middleweight title, Edmonton Eskimos 2006 Grey Cup Game hero Mike The Wolverine Maurer won his debut in the MFC ring and Eskimos teammate Adam Boogeyman Braidwood signed on to fight at MFC 11 Gridiron on Feb. 3, 2007.
