In a strategic move that ensures the The Maximum Fighting Championship 22 “Payoff” will be shown live on HDNet Fights, the event has moved it’s date from September 22 to October 2.

Veteran Trevor Prangley outlasted defending champion Emanuel Newton to take a five-round unanimous decision and the MFC world light heavyweight championship at MFC 21: Hard Knocks Friday night at the River Cree Resort and Casino just outside Edmonton, Alberta.

The MFC 21 Hard Knocks weigh ins took place today and all the fighters appeared to be ready to go. With the exception of Jay Whitford, who missed his weight by almost 10 pounds and forfeiths 25 % of his purse to his opponent, the fighters made weight for the highly anticipated event that takes place tomorrow at the River Cree Resort and Casino.

Highly-touted MMA prospect, and former WWE performer Bobby “The Dominator” Lashley has signed on to join the Maximum Fighting Championship and will debut at MFC 21 “Hard Knocks” at the River Cree Resort and Casino in Enoch, Alberta.

The MFC has added another UFC veteran into the fold as they welcomed Marvin Eastman into the Maximum Fighting Championship’s light-heavyweight division. The Las Vegas native will be returning to the 205 lbs. division where he could be thrown directly into the pool of contenders in line to face current champion Emmanuel Newton.

The MFC announced today that they have brought Travis Galbraith back into the MFC fold following a excursion that saw him compete inElite XC, the King of the Cage, RAW and Pride. 

Pat “Bam Bam” Healy used a relentless ground attack to retain the Maximum Fighting Championship’s world welterweight title with a five-round split decision victory over Ryan “The Real Deal” Ford inside a sold-out River Cree Resort and Casino and live on HDNet Fights.

Emanuel Newton took the title from Roger Hollett in a less-than stellar main event, Paul Daley stunned John Alessio stopping the veteran Xtreme Couture fighter in the second round, and Derrick Noble finished the talented Ariel Sexton at MFC 19.

The line-up is set for MFC 19 : Long Time Coming and Roger “The Hulk” Hollett will make his return to the MFC ring against the newly minted number-one contender Emmanuel Newton.

Both Canadian standout John Alessio and Paul Daley a knockout artist from the UK are well known for their stand-up skills and this fight is expected to be an entertaining bout. Daley’s only recent loss was to EliteXC champion Jake Shields and John Alessio has had a great run going 5-1 in his last 6 bouts, his only recent snag a disqualification loss to Brock Larson in the WEC.

The MFC has added serious talent into the fold as UFC veteran John Alessio, EliteXC veteran Paul Daley, and IFL veteran Antonio McKee, have joined the fold with more talent rumored to be entering the MFC fray.

MFC 18 is in the books and inthe main event, Emanuel Newton defeated David Heath, fan favorite Ryan Ford took out LaVerne Clark, Ryan Machan defeated Gavin Neil, and Josh Russell defeated Mike Gates.Click on for the full results.

MFC  18 "Famous" saw it's weigh ins come and go and all the fights are a go for tomorrows event. Only Simon Marini missed his weight coming into his lightweight contest at 158 pounds and will forfeit 25 percent of his purse to his opponent for the infraction.
