UFC 37.5: Liddell puts Belfort on Ice, Young Guns produce Again
Las Vegas, NV - June 22, 2002 -The fact that so many people questioned whether or not the scheduled Belfort vs. Liddell fight would ever take place might have lit a fire in the burners of both fighters. For three rounds at the Bellagio in Las Vegas these two let it all hang out. In this fight the fans saw a little bit of everything. We saw Chuck Liddell throwing spinning back kicks and punches while Vitor Belfort was throwing surprising high kicks to the head, and also showing us some of that Vitor of old. These are two of the best light-heavyweights in the world, and this fight could be what most fans would consider one for the ages. |

With the amount of hack that the UFC was taking for the way this UFC was rounding out it must have felt soothing for the UFC brass to see the UFC finally come about. This UFC had more than it's fair share of problems, and judging by the sheer number of problems this UFC shook off, I am hope that the Next UFC will have 0 problems. Despite the early Problems the show was entertaining albeit not a star studded affair but an affair with some killer fights that I or anyone lese who saw this card, will not soon forget. |

Pride 20 was Broadcast around the world "Almost Live" and for the second show in a row and for that I am thankful. The fans got to see the show without having to resist looking at on the web for the results for too long and it looks like Pride is getting on track. Looking at this Pride on paper was a little depressing after a stronger looking Pride 19 but I was in for a surprise. This show had more good fights then a lot of other shows have had and made up for a couple of poor fights with a couple of fights that will go down as some of the greatest ever. |

 This upcoming UFC card has some pretty heavy hitting up and coming fighters. A lot of fight fans will be the first to say they enjoy those up and coming boys more so, only because they seem to put everything on the line to prove themselves. |
