LAS VEGAS, NV, May 17, 2004.... Zuffa, LLC, owner of the Ultimate Fighting Championship, announced that due to BJ Penn's reported signing with the K-1 organization, Penn would no longer compete in UFC events. Additionally, Penn's actions have resulted in him being stripped of his title. "I am looking forward to moving on and crowning a champion," stated UFC president, Dana White. An announcement will be made soon regarding who will compete for the welterweight championship. |

During 2001, The sport of MMA took a step forward with the new ownership in the UFC taking the sport to new heights in North America. With the rebirth of MMA came the rebirth of the fighters. New fighters climbed to new heights and champions fell and started anew. Of the hundreds and hundreds of fights that took place around the world in 2001, only a select few fighters were in a league by themselves. |

Christmas is now a distant memory and the New Years greeting have already begun to wear thin. It is now time for us to make stern New Years resolutions, resolutions that we will undoubtedly break in half before February rolls around. It is time to start wishing for the things we look forward to getting from Santa Claus on Christmas for the coming year. I will start my wish list early so Santa can have a head start on my gifts for the coming Christmas. I have compiled a list of the ten things I want for Christmas for the year 2002. |
