LAS VEGAS, April 30, 2004 -- Michael McDonald proved that some things just get better with age as he won the Battle at the Bellagio II and advanced to the K-1 Final Elimination this summer. The Canadian turned aside three challengers to capture the K-1 USA 2004 Championship, held before a sellout crowd at the Bellagio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
TOKYO, April 21, 2004 -- K-1 will further develop its new MMA Rules division with "ROMANEX" (derived from "Roman" and "Extra" ), a blockbuster fight event set for Saturday May 22 at the Saitama Super Arena. The announcement was made by K-1 Event Producer Sadaharu Tanikawa in a press conference at the Shin Takanawa Prince Hotel in central Tokyo. The Main Event a matchup between Bob "The Beast" Sapp and 33 year-old wrestler Kazuyuki Fujita.

Also on the card is what promises to be a thrilling matchup between Alexey "The Scorpion" Ignashov and prowrestler Shinsuke Nakamura.
Event Producer Tanikawa mentioned other possible fighters for the event: Don Frye, Mark Hunk, Sam Greco, Genki Sudo, The Predator, Gary Goodridge, Yoshihiro Nakao, Josh Barnett and "Kid" Yamamoto.
