It is difficult to gauge public interest in a TV program without getting a number of different people and personalities to watch and give their opinions on a particular show and get them to lend insight into their thoughts. In order to get a clearer understanding of the different views of TV fans I enlisted the help of some local friends to watch the show and give me their opinions of the show. |

There is so much raw ability in Kevin Randleman that it is almost sad to see him lose the way he did to Filipovic at Shockwave. I really feel he has the ability to beat many of the top tier fighters in the sport at LHW and even HW, but his style seems so dated that he cant seem to get past the ground and pound mentality. |

It is Deja Vu all over again. The famous words ring true once more as another Canadian event has been forced to relocate and shut down for the time being. It seems things are getting better in small doses but when will we make the next big jump? It is a difficult pill to swallow but the next big movement may not happen any time soon. However, It seems much is happening in the great white north, some negative and some positive, so lets get caught up on all things Canadian MMA, in what is surely the least encouraging installment of the Canadian Corner yet... |

It was only a short while ago that Carlos Newton was the only Canadian to have fought for a UFC title but with Georges St Pierre fighting for the Welterweight title and Patrick Cote fighting in the main event of a single UFC it seems that times they are a changing. Any way you cut it Canadian MMA has come a long way and it is only going to get bigger and better and UFC 50 "The war of 04" proved that.The ball continues to roll and It seems much is happening in the great white north so lets get caught up on all things Canadian MMA. -Arnold Lim- |

MMA events seem to be popping up all over Canada. First their was Apex which held it's inaugural show in September, and now it is a new amateur event that will hold it's events in Winnipeg. The Ultimate Cage wars will be coming to the the Province of Manitoba starting in October and rumors are flying about a couple more organizations popping up in Canada in the near future. With the pinpoint swing of his right hand David Terrell threw the UFC middleweight division on it's ear. Matt The Law Lindland is no longer the king of the middleweight hill, and while one loss certainly does not eliminate him from the middleweight picture completely, it has certainly raised a hurdle in his seemingly unstoppable run. |
